Split a winter's worth of firewood without a pull cord, a gas can, or a sore back. The Rockcub 7-Ton Electric Log Splitter delivers 7 tons of hydraulic splitting force from a standard 120-volt outlet on a dedicated circuit. It arrives with the hydraulic oil already in it. Attach the wheels and the control lever with the included tools, open the bleed screw, and split. Setup takes under 5 minutes. An electric wood splitter this size covers the rounds most households actually burn: seasoned hardwood and softwood up to about 12 inches across and 22 inches long.

5-minute setup. No oil filling.
It comes out of the box filled and nearly built. The frame, support legs, 2-way wedge and log retaining plates are already on. You attach the wheels and the hydraulic control lever with the tools in the box. No hydraulic oil to pour in.
- Unbox. Lift it out by the handles at both ends.
- Fit the wheels and lever. Tools included, under 5 minutes.
- Do the bleed screw. Swap the shipping oil seal screw for the air bleed screw in the box and open it three to four turns.
- Start splitting.
Check your circuit first. The splitter is rated at 15 amps and needs a dedicated circuit with nothing else running on it: 15 amps minimum, 20 amps recommended. A circuit shared with other appliances will trip the breaker. If you are not sure, check the breaker for the outlet you plan to use before you order.
Two versions. One difference.
The machines are identical: same 7 tons, same 3 HP motor, same 28 MPa hydraulics, same 18-second cycle, and both come with the 2-way wedge and the 4-way cross wedge. The thirty dollars buys you the foot pedal.

The foot pedal changes the job
On a two-hand splitter, every cycle is the same: bend down, set the log, stand up, put both hands on the controls, split. Repeat two hundred times and your back knows about it.
The RCV8+ moves the trigger to a foot pedal. You steady the log with one hand on the lever and fire the ram with your foot, standing upright. Over a full cord, that is hundreds of fewer bends. Same certified two-stage safety, far less fatigue. Foot-pedal control is still rare on an electric log splitter at this size, and it is the whole reason the Plus exists.
Quarter a round in one stroke
Both versions ship with a 4-way cross wedge that drops over the standard wedge with no tools. One pass turns a round into four pieces instead of two, so you run roughly half the cycles to fill the same rack.
Swapping back takes seconds. Keep the 2-way wedge on for knotty, twisted, or oversized rounds where you want all 7 tons focused on a single line.
22 inches, not the usual 20
The bed takes logs up to 22 inches long, two inches more than most electric wood splitters in this class. That is the difference between cutting your rounds to fit the splitter and cutting them to fit your stove. Diameter capacity is 10 to 12 inches for typical firewood.
Built for one person to handle
At 93 pounds this is an electric wood splitter one person can move. Lift handles at both ends get it onto a bench, and the wheels let you reposition it around the work area. When the season ends it stores upright against a garage wall instead of taking up a parking space.

What's in the box
- The log splitter, pre-filled with hydraulic oil, with the 2-way wedge, log retaining plates and support legs already fitted
- Wheels and hydraulic control lever, with the tools to fit them
- 4-way cross wedge
- Foot pedal switch (RCV8+ only)
- Air bleed screw, to replace the shipping oil seal screw
- Printed operator's manual
Why the bleed screw matters. Running with it closed traps air in the hydraulic system, and the repeated compression will blow out the seals. Open it three to four turns before you split, and tighten it again before you move or store the machine.

This log splitter works great, more powerful than I expected. I had zero issues with it cutting through everything I placed on top of it.It appears this is a newer seller trying to make a name for themselves so I decided to give them a shot. So I’ve added a few things that may be helpful for them in the near future. They are not deal breakers for me but just some useful information.1) Marked Dip stick- know exactly where the oil level should be at a glance when pulling out the dipstick. As of right now it is a long plain metal rod making it a bit confusing as to where the fill line is.2) Larger oil fill port- makes topping off oil much less of a hassle, the oil fill Port is where the dip stick is and that hole is very small. I do not see a separate port to change the oil.3) Spacer tip for shorter logs- in my video you will see I had to add a spacer log behind the shorter log that I was trying to split. (About 11 inches) It does not push the log far enough into the wedge to split entirely. When Ordering the standard log splitter as opposed to the upgraded version ( foot pedal & 4 way wedge) I could use the foot pedal and hold the handle in with one hand and hold the spacer with my other hand while it was splitting. You cannot do that with the standard log splitter, you need both hands to operate that one for safety reasons. It seems very durable, easy to use, has solid stability to it, not flimsy at all. I was able toPut the logs and it was very stable. Over all I’m happy with the log splitter.
Very powerful
